Alamo Heights Home Closes 35 Days After Staging
Jul 14, 2026
Selling Privately/Off Market is Easier with Staging
Our initial consultation at this home turned into what we call a "supplemental" stage. This Alamo Heights ISD home, with a grand stone exterior, was furnished a bit too sparsely for most buyers to envision life there. So, instead of our basic consultation, we pivoted and recommended bringing in some furnishings to add to the homeowner's existing decor.
Just 19 days after an occupied consultation with BY Design, we received a call from the seller sharing that their Alamo Heights home was headed to closing.
When people think about staging, they often picture vacant homes filled with furniture.
But staging can take many forms.
This homeowner began with an occupied consultation while preparing their home for the market. The consultation ultimately led to additional staging support, helping strengthen the home's presentation for prospective buyers.
Just a few weeks later, the seller called to share the exciting news that the home was on its way to closing.

Why Occupied Consultations Matter
Not every seller needs a full stage.
Sometimes an occupied consultation is the right place to start.
For homeowners who are still living in their property, it provides professional guidance on preparing the home for the market while working with what is already there. For agents, it offers another tool to help listings make a stronger first impression.
This Alamo Heights home is a great example of how staging solutions can be tailored to meet the needs of both the property and the seller.
